The first think that I did when we got there was learn how to make juice. I had always wanted to learn, and the Sim country Olympic team was all going to learn at the local shop. It was kind of odd, because no one was expecting to actually stomp the grapes, none of us brought our bathing suits to do it. So we all ended up just wearing our underwear, which made all the boys go crazy!
After that we had free time, so I walked around the city. There was a beautiful fountain in the center of the town, surrounded by many quaint little stores. I just walked around and enjoyed the scenery.
Before I knew it, night had already fallen so I went back to where the team was staying and went to sleep. I knew I had to get a good sleep because I had to compete tomorrow morning!
Early in the morning the team had to go to practice before we had to compete. I walked into the arena, which was in an old french castle, and changed into my uniform.
We practiced for a while, then the competition started. I began on the floor routine, And I nailed it! I was tremendously proud of myself and knew that my mom was somewhere in the audience rooting for me, So I gave it everything I had!
My last event was the beam. I loved the beam! I was confident that I looked graceful and I never stumbled, Let alone fell! I couldn't wait for the awards ceremony. This was the best experience that I had ever had!
When we got the final results, I couldn't believe my eyes! I had won Gold! The 16 year old under dog that was originally an alternate for the team had won gold!
I saw my mom running down towards me and we embraced each other in a good long hug! It was the happiest moment of my life!
